One of the principal uses for Clipboards is managing and scheduling appointments, operations and most importantly visits.  All diaries and schedules can be customized to a format that is most appropriate to your requirement.

The appointments are the starting point of a unique workflow system built into RxWorks.

Clipboards can be created for many different information and scheduling tasks – Ambulatory appointments, Inpatient lists, Treatments, messages for staff -  you choose.  With a comprehensive set of Clipboards you can see at a glance all your clinic’s appointments.  In the example above we have set up clipboards for the various areas of an equine clinic:

• Ambulatory
• Appointments
• Reception
• Hospital
• Treatments
• Labwork
• Prescriptions
• Messageboard

The Appointments have been selected and the cursor is hovering over Stormy, to reveal further details on the patient, client, phone numbers etc.  The  color-codes in this example indicate appointment types e.g.yellow is a vaccination visit. These appointment colors can be customized.

All clipboards are accessible from all screens in the clinic.  If you operate RxWorks Mobile Veterinarian you can access (but not change) the appointments (at the time of synchronization), so can see where your next appointment is, what tomorrow looks like and where your colleagues are.

A single click on the clipboard entry will take you directly to the client or patient record or add a new visit, depending on your personal configuration. If there are tests to be run or other work to be done, these can be transferred to the appropriate clipboard to be dealt with in an orderly manner without having people running all over the clinic.

And when the ambulatory work is all done, the appointments can be transferred to a billing clipboard or a clipboard to keep track of which worksheets need to be entered by the veterinarian or admin staff. If you operate RxWorks Mobile this information can be swiftly entered by the Veterinarian on site or in the car which can later be synchronized with the live database, saving time at the clinic, ensuring charges aren't missed and improving the practice efficiency.
