Standard Resources for the Veterinary Industry Minimize

For many years now, RxWorks has been working to improve the ability of the veterinary industry to analyse industry data both for business and research purposes. To facilitate this, it has been necessary to standardize several resources so that comparisions between practices is possible.

To facilitate the use of data collected from clinics using different software and data collection techniques, we have decided to steadily release these standardized lists for use by others, usually under Creative Commons Licenses.

The other area crying out for standardization is the standardization of interfaces between the software being used in practices today and the companies that supply and service those practices. To facilitate this, we will also steadily release a range of interfaces for use by others in the hope they may speed the standardization process.

RxWorks Breeds List

The RxWorks Breeds List is a comprehensive list of breeds for a variety of species as used in the RxWorks Software. It has a code associated with each breed name and then additional columns for various translations of the breed.

While considerable time and effort has been invested in the research, development, and structuring of this list, we at RxWorks have decided to make this list available for use by others under a Creative Commons license to facilitate the sharing and comparison of data between clinics and to assist those using data for research purposes.

If you are another software company and decide to use this list, you must associate the code with each breed to facilitate the comparision of data between clinics using different software packages.

Should you would like to suggest changes, modifications, or additions to RxWorks Breed List please post your suggestion in this discussion forum that we have set up specifically for the purpose.
