For your front desk, the appointment scheduler is one of the most important parts of RxWorks. The ability to respond quickly to client inquiries, whether over the phone or in person, makes a lasting impression as to the efficency of your clinic.

The RxWorks Appointment Scheduler is fully customizable to suit your clinic. You can define the appointment intervals that best reflect the way you operate. Color coding is a great way to quickly group all your surgeries together, identify new clients, or wellness visits. Set up multiple schedules and track appointments separately for each branch clinic. 

With a separate column for each veterinarian or consulting room, it is easy to see how the day is shaping up for your entire clinic at one glance. You can also book appointments for resources such as the surgery room or radiology equipment.

The Appointment Scheduler can be configured to show which veterinarians are on duty and when, making it easy for staff to quickly make an appointment for a client who has a preferred veterinarian. 

Hover your mouse over an appointment to quickly see its details without having to open and close the appointment. RxWorks has hundreds of these little features that save your front desk lots and lots of time over the course of a busy day.

You set the timing of the text messages. Send one the day before and another 30 minutes before the appointment if you like.

Think of your consult time like a hotel room. If a hotel room is not rented that night, that revenue is lost forever, you cannot rent it twice the next night to make up for the night it was empty. Similarily, if your veterinarian is standing arounding waiting for a patient who is late for their appointment, then that consult time is lost forever.

Consider the effect on your clients who do turn up on time. A patient who is late for an earlier appointment can delay them and make them wait unnecessarily in the waiting room, reflecting poorly on your clinic.
